Katrina Shinkaruk Policies
Scheduling & Cancellations
Booking: All sessions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. You can begin with a one-time booking through our scheduling platform, after which regular, recurring sessions can be established.
Rescheduling: If you need to change your appointment, please contact us with the dates that no longer work and your preferred alternative dates.
Missed Appointments: No-shows are non-refundable and will be charged in full.
Late Arrivals: Clients arriving late may receive a shorter session to respect the schedule of other clients. Full session fees will still apply.
Cancellations: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid being charged the full session fee. Rescheduling will not be available for cancellations made within 24 hours.
Payments & Refunds
Payment Methods: We accept credit/debit cards, PayPal and e-transfer.
Full Payments: Payments can be made via credit/debit card, PayPal and e-transfer.
Payment Plans: Payment plans are available through credit/debit card payments only, as they will be automated.
Refunds: No refunds will be provided for any services.
Client Confidentiality
At Katrina Shinkaruk, we prioritize client privacy and confidentiality. Below are the key points of our confidentiality policy:
Confidentiality Assurance: All discussions and materials shared during sessions are confidential. We will not disclose any information to third parties without your explicit consent, except when required by law or to ensure your safety.
Limits of Confidentiality: Confidentiality may be breached if:
There is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
There is suspicion of abuse or other harm as required by law.
You give consent to share information for referrals or additional support.
Sessions and Records: Any notes or records made during sessions will remain confidential and securely stored for internal use only.
Your Rights: You have the right to access, modify, or remove your personal data. Please feel free to discuss any concerns about privacy with us.
Termination of Services
Client-Initiated Termination: If you choose to discontinue services, the final session will focus on summarizing progress and addressing any final questions or next steps. No refunds will be provided if you terminate sessions before completing all paid sessions.
Coach-Initiated Termination: The coach may terminate services if:
The client fails to comply with agreed-upon terms (e.g., payment, attendance).
The client is not actively participating or is not committed to the process.
The client's needs fall outside the scope of coaching (e.g., therapeutic needs).
The coach will provide at least one week's notice before discontinuing services, unless urgent (e.g., non-payment).
If termination occurs, a refund will be determined based on the reasons for termination.
Alternative Referrals: If appropriate, the coach may suggest therapy or other professional support and provide referrals.
Communication Between Sessions
Support: Email and text support will be provided within reasonable limits, with responses given within 48 hours unless otherwise specified. If communication becomes excessive, additional sessions may be recommended.
Respect & Professional Boundaries
Both the coach and client agree to maintain a respectful, professional relationship at all times.
The coach respects your autonomy and does not impose personal values or agendas. The focus is on empowering you to make your own decisions.
Sexual or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of the session, with the full fee still required. Legal action may follow.
Conflict Resolution
If any conflict arises, it will be addressed professionally and collaboratively. Clients are encouraged to openly discuss concerns with the coach. If a resolution is not reached, the client may choose to terminate services or seek referrals.
Integrity & Honesty
The coach will act with honesty, transparency, and integrity, providing clear communication and feedback.
Clients are expected to be honest and forthcoming about their goals, challenges, and relevant information.
Commitment to Growth & Empowerment
The coach commits to providing tools, resources, and guidance to empower clients in achieving their goals while honoring their individual process.
Clients are expected to engage actively in their growth, take responsibility for their actions, and follow through on commitments.
Continuous Professional Development
The coach is committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring that they remain up to date with best practices and ethical guidelines.
Health & Safety
Acknowledgment of Participation: Working with Katrina Shinkaruk may include breathing techniques, physical activity, stretches, meditative practices, and bodywork. Participation is at your own risk.
Health Concerns: If you have any medical conditions, psychological or physical limitations, or are pregnant, please inform us before engaging in services. It’s recommended to consult with a healthcare professional if you have a history of certain health issues (e.g., seizures, high blood pressure, heart disease).
Responsibility: You are responsible for deciding whether to engage in Katrina Shinkaruk’s services. If you experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, or shortness of breath, you should stop the technique immediately and inform Katrina Shinkaruk for support.
